Phrame Wales is a collective focused on promoting active and emerging female photographers working with photography in the South Wales area.
Phrame Wales was co-founded in 2018 by Celia Jackson and Lisa Edgar, with the aim to promote and support emerging female photographers and females working in photography in the South Wales area. Phrame is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, class or creed. The collective offers a warm welcome, shared expertise and energy, and an empowering, inclusive atmosphere to all.
Are you a keen photographer with work that you’d like to discuss with others? Would you like to meet in a welcoming, encouraging environment to chat with photographers and other creatives from a range of backgrounds?
PhotoJams are informal and free portfolio reviews hosted by Phrame members, a collective of creative people who love sharing work, ideas and their expertise, whether you are a student or a teacher, amateur or professional.
Photographers and artists are encouraged to take part in our 'Instagram Takeovers'. At Phrame, we believe that everyone regardless of gender, race, sexuality and class should have an equal opportunity to present their work to the world. All we ask that each participant is active in sharing images and using stories, and that your work is in keeping with our mission statement.
If you are interested in taking part, please contact us with a short proposal about the work you'd like to show and a few sample images.
